Launch HNs are boosted as described at https://news.ycombinator.com/newsfaq.html. Along with job ads, they're a thing that HN gives back to YC in exchange for funding it. This is well known (https://hn.algolia.com/?dateRange=all&page=0&prefix=true&que...), and is not related to how way we moderate the rest of the site.

I've banned this account and your other account in the thread. Breaking the site guidelines is not cool, and using multiple accounts to do it is especially not cool.
